Folic Acid is a food supplement based on vitamin B9 (folate) which, when taken on a regular basis, strengthens the state of maternal folate.
Poor folate status is a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in the fetus *. Vitamin B9 also contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy, to the synthesis of amino acids, normal hematopoiesis, homocysteine metabolism, to the function of the immune system, cell division process and psychological function.
* The target population is made up of women of childbearing age and the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplementary daily intake of folic acid of 400 mcg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
How to use
We recommend taking 1 tablet per day.
Thickeners: dibasic calcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose; anti-caking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide; folic acid.
